Signed Arnold, London.
The single fusee movement has thick substantial plates shaped in the ivy leaf pattern, 7 thick turned and screwed posts, maintaining power and six-spoke wheelwork throughout. It has a vertically mounted pivoted detent escapement with a three arm brass balance wheel and the fast/slow adjustment on the back. The whole stands on a wooden base under a dome.
The silvered engraved fretted dial has Roman numerals for the hours and steel-cut hands.
This clock and a discussion of the escapement is in Derek Roberts book about skeleton clocks, pgs. 193-194.
