Case

The superb case depicts a triumphant Jason clad in battle garb and reaching for the Golden Fleece that hangs from the patinated tree. The whole stands on a variegated marble base with four substantial animal feet.

Dial

The well-cast ormolu dial features Jason and Medea on a chased ground with raised Roman numerals for the hours and nicely shaped steel Breguet-style hands.

Movement

The eight-day time and strike movement has a silk thread suspension with the fast/slow off the backplate, customarily unusual winding arbor locations and countwheel striking on a bell.
