Case
The typically English gilt-bronze case has crisp molded edges, a decorative hinged handle and a solid back door with shutter apertures.
Dial
The white porcelain dial has black Roman numerals for the hours, a sub-second's dial at the twelve, steel-cut spade hands and a gilt damascened mask that carries the nameplate signed 'Dent, 33 Cockspur St, London'.
Movement
The exceptional twin-fusee movement has beautifully finished plates and brackets, finely cut wheelwork, strikes on a gong when running or when the repeat button is pushed, has a strike/silent lever on the backplate and is signed 'Dent, 33 Cockspur St, London, 17904. The high-quality jeweled lever platform sits on top, has a split bi-metallic balance wheel, a free sprung balance spring and has adjustable stop work for the contrate wheel.
