Case

The gilt-bronze McCabe style case has beveled glasses to five sides and a shaped handle with a reeded center.

Dial

The white  porcelain time and alarm dials have decorative grey centers and chapters. They have Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numbers for the alarm, gilt 5-minute marks and alarm 1/2 hour marks, steel-cut hands and are framed by a frosted gilt mask. The time dial is signed by the retailer 'Hunt & Roskell, London.

Movement

The high-quality eight-day twin barrel movement has frosted silvered plates, an alarm and is quarter-striking and minute repeating  on two gongs. The repeat button is out the top while the strike selection indicator lever is out the bottom. The backplate has beautifully engraved indicator arrows and text, is stamped 4999 and has 'Hunt & Roskell, London' at the top. The jeweld gilt lever platform has a split bi-metallic balance wheel, a free-sprung balance and the train has jewels at the contrate wheel.
