Case
The finely cut gilt-bronze Arabesque frame has 7 screwed pillars and stands on a marble base.
Dial
The engraved silvered regulator formatted chapters have an hour dial with Roman numerals, Arabic numbers for the minutes and seconds and blued steel hands.
Movement
The eight-day single fusee gear train has exquisite 6-spoke wheels with screwed collets, maintaining power, a pivoted detent escapement and a compensating pendulum suspended by a spring and constructed of brass, steel and zinc. As a result of the escapement the clock beats seconds instead of the typical half-seconds normally dictated by the pendulum length.
