Case

The circular polychromed enameled silver case is decorated with a Swiss lake scene showing sailing ships on the water, trees and a castle on the shore. It stands on four decorative feet has numerous stamps that include Alfred Hof, 57938 and Swiss.

Dial

Mounted horizontally above is the blue and white enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours, decorative half-hour marks and a silver ship mounted to the mirrored center that indicates the time.

Movement

The eight-day time-only movement is signed Alfred Hof and is wound and set through a shuttered aperture in the bottom.
Notes
The silver sailing ship is further stamped 'JvDH' which is the mark fo Jan vanDyck of Hoorn.
 
The lake scene is of Lake Thun. One of the images has a picture of an identical castle recently taken from the edge of Lake Thun.
