Patented in 1910, this is the original of several iterations of the 'Mouse Clock'. The shaped mahogany case with hinged front has applied numbers which serve as the dial. The one-day time and strike movement with balance wheel and large sprocket was made by The New Haven Clock Co. and raises the wooden mouse by a ladder chain as it runs. When the mouse reaches the top it activates a release mechanism and drops to the bottom to begin its journey again.
