Description:

A late 19th century French multi-finish fireplace clock that utilizes the swinging pot as the pendulum.

Case:

The multi-finish gilt-bronze case depicts a French chateau’s fire place with cast decorative plaques, brickwork, a patinated roof and the original removable andirons on a variegated red marble base.

Dial:

The porcelain chapter ring dial has Arabic numbers for the hours, a decorative silvered center and steel-cut hands.

Movement:

The eight-day time and strike movement is stamped by the maker, strikes on a gong and utilizes the suspended pot for a pendulum.
