The superb case depicts a triumphant Jason clad in battle garb and reaching for the Golden Fleece that hangs from the patinated tree. The whole stands on a variegated marble base with four substantial animal feet. |

The well-cast ormolu dial features Jason and Medea on a chased ground with raised Roman numerals for the hours and nicely shaped steel Breguet-style hands. |
Movement: |
The eight-day time and strike movement has a silk thread suspension with the fast/slow off the backplate, customarily unusual winding arbor locations and countwheel striking on a bell. |
