Description:

A very nice French Charles X ormolu and silver patinated mantle clock depicting a rider with two horses.

Case:

The ormolu case has a cast bezel, floral mounts and sits upon a heavily cast ormolu base with horse head profiles and large decorative claw feet. The scene above is of two silver patinated horses in mid-stride controlled by a single ormolu rider.

Dial:

The silvered engine-turned dial has Roman numerals and Breguet style hands.

Movement:

The eight-day time and strike movement strikes on a bell and still retains its original silk-thread suspension.
