Case:

The gilt-bronze case has fluted columns to the corners, engraved decorative freezes, geometrically engraved side panels, chamfered finials, a shaped handle and a wonderfully chased mask.

Dial:

The white porcelain dial has Roman numerals for the hours, a large seconds dial, steel-cut spade hands and is signed Donne & Son, Cornhill, London.

Movement:

The eight day time only fusee movement has a jeweled contrate pivot hole, decorative damascening on the backplate and a very high-quality lever escapement.
