The gilt and silvered bronze anglaise riche case has twisted columns with Corinthian capitals, a twisted handle and detailed cast panels adorned with military trophies.

The front panel has a white porcelain 13-piece time dial with Roman numerals for the hours, a porcelain alarm dial, decorative steel-cut hands and an elaborately decorated mask featuring rampant lions.

The eight-day time, strike and alarm movement has the original balance platform, is wound and adjusted off the backplate, has the indications in English and is numbered 1439.
