Case:

The gilt-bronze Gorge case has beveled glasses to all sides and a hinged handle.

Dial:

The white porcelain dial has Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic five-minute marks, steel-cut hands and is signed by the retailer, ‘Henri Capt, Geneve’. The white porcelain alarm dial sits below, and they both are framed by a gilt mask with raised polished floral decorations.

Movement:

The eight-day time, strike and alarm movement has grand-sonnerie striking and is minute repeating. It retains the original balance platform, is wound and set off the backplate, has the indications in French and has the strike adjustment lever out the base. It is signed by the retailer, Henri Capt, and carries the stamp of the Ebauche maker, Margaine.

Notes:

It can be set to silent, but can also strike the quarters and also the hours and quarters at each quarter. When the button is pressed it repeats the last quarter, hour and counts off to the current minute.
