Griesbaum

The polychromed figure whistles a song and moves its head when a coin is deposited in the slot.The base is extra tall and collects the coins as they are deposited in the brass coin slot and fall down the leg. The movement is a typical Griesbaum example adapted to incorporate the coin op mechanism to which it is fitted.

There are very few coin-operated whistlers, and the clock peddler is particularly rare if not unique.
