The cobalt blue porcelain case is adorned with exceptionally detailed gilt-bronze mounts including floral swags, decorative beaded edges and an Apollo sunburst. |
Dial: |
The white porcelain dial has polychrome floral swags, Arabic numbers for the hours and five-minute marks and engraved gilt-bronze lyre form hands. |
Movement: |
The eight-day time and strike movement is stamped ‘made in france’ and strikes on a bell. the pendulum is suspended by knife-edge and includes the silvered ring adorned with paste-stones that swings side to side as the clock runs. |
