A rare and unusual engraved gilt dual time giant grand sonnerie striking carriage clock with calendar and subsidiary seconds. The elaborately engraved case stands a total of 15 inches tall. The movement has the strike work planted on the backplate and strikes on the two under slung nested bells. The movement has an exceptional lever platform and a button that sets the strike choice. The porcelain dial has dual time chapters, one Roman one Turkish, a second’s bit and calendar work below.
