Case:

The glazed Rosewood case has a hinged handle above, a beveled viewing glass, and adjustable brass feet.

Dial:

The gilt-bronze dial has a smooth chapter ring with Roman numerals for the hours on a decorative engine-turned ground, Breguet style steel hands and is signed Dent, London, 527.

Movement:

The large eight-day twin fusee movement has a strike/silent lever, maintaining power, a repeat button out the side, a gilt platform with a lever escapement and strikes on a gong. The backplate is engraved ‘Dent, 82 Strand, London, 527’
