A rare c.1860 white onyx, gilt-bronze and patinated spelter conical clock.

The decorative white alabaster case has gilt-bronze mounts and supports a patinated metal statue of Jason holding the golden fleece and a staff.

The engine-turned gilt-bronze dial has applied Roman numerals for the hours and steel-cut hands.

The eight-day time and strike movement has countwheel striking on a bell and carries the 1855 Japy Freres Stamp, the eagle stamp and is numbered 56575.
The multi-piece conical pendulum is suspended by a thread and is pushed by the small detent at the base of the statue.

This clock was acquired from the same collection as the S-Town display now at the NAWCC museum in Columbia, PA. It was originally restored by John B. McLemore.
