Description:

A fine English 19th century small travelling timepiece by Barraud and Lund, Cornhill, London, 1693.

Case:

The small rosewood case has crisp moldings, adjustable brass feet, a decorative handle above and thick beveled glasses to the sides and top.

Dial:

The gilt dial has decorative damascening around the outside, floral engraving in the center, a smooth chapter ring with painted Roman numerals, steel-cut hands, a gilt chamfered border and is signed in minute lettering below the twelve.

Movement:

The high-quality time-only fusee movement has an exceptional balance platform and is signed and numbered on the backplate.
